Micro-Tech is based in Palmerston North. A new business devoted to the home engineer, modeller or small workshop.

We are in business to provide you with machine tools and accessories for the best value for money deal anywhere.. We import direct from China and are agents for Shanghei Sieg Industries who manufacture a range of small machine tools which are exported all over the world under various brand names. In New Zealand the machines will be sold under the Sieg label. Micro-Tech has been authorised to use the brand in the marketing and sales of the Sieg product.

At Micro-Tech we have been users of Sieg machines for some time. We have the means and skills to provide full service if required. This site will also include useful information such as upgrades and additions which help to make the equipment more useful. Micro-Tech Machine also installs DRO systems to Sieg lathes and milling machines and some useful links are available to provide you with an insight to what is going on around the world with Sieg.

Here at Micro-Tech we not only import for sale we are also involved at a technical level. Your machine can be supplied to you “in the box” or cleaned and adjusted ready for use. The machine is supplied wired and tested, slides and gibs polished and adjusted. Bearings checked and re-greased, and oils checked and replaced.

Micro-Tech can also provide your machine with DRO installed and setup ready to use. DRO kits for DIY installation are available.

Plans are currently underway to convert the Sieg X3 small mill to CNC operation. This wil be available as complete ready to run machine (you provide computer and software), or as a complete kit to retrofit the X3.

Micro-Tech Machine is also able to supply a range of tools for use with your new machine.We can supply just about anything for the workshop, you name it, and we’ll see what we can do. We deal direct with our supplier for a wide range of cutting tools, tool holders, test and measuring equipment, and machine tool accessories. And most importantly, these are not going to cost you the earth.
