WEIDA VERTICAL MILLS - BENCH MODELS

I must admit the current crop of the xx45 series of drill mills on the market these days do not make me happy. I don’t think they do either job very well. They appear to be rigid enough, but gear drive can be noisy and not produce the best finish when working to tenths of a thou..

I had some long discussions with Austin, from the WEIDA Electric Company. We came up with a product we think is suited for the New Zealand market. Essentially there are 5 models, each uses the same basic head unit in each case. And you have the choice of quill taper, where most of the drill mills available are only supplied in MT4.

Of the bench top mill two basic models with choices of power unit. The knee type mill also has two basic choices. There are additional optional extras such as factory fitted DRO and auto power feeds.

The bench top models are either the XZ50C gear driven, or the XZ50F belt driven. Both these models can be supplied with single phase fixed speed motor or 3 phase variable speed motor. The three phase unit comes with the RHYMEBUS invertor, for operation off single phase 230volt ac power and provides smooth 3-phase variable frequency power.

Supplied with drill chuck and tools for adjustment and setup. Optional extras available and include auto power feed for X travel, factory installed DRO.
